Ross Castle
Ross Castle was built by O'Donoghue Mór in the 15th century, the castle is now part of the Killarney National Park. Ross Castle was the last stronghold in Munster to hold out against Cromwell, it was eventually taken by General Ludlow in 1652.

Fungi the Dolphin
In 1984 a young bottle-nosed dolphin appeared at the mouth of Dingle Harbour, the now world famous dolphin has remained in Dingle ever since. A small cave under the cliff at Burnham is thought to be his home. Fungi is always around to welcome boats and his a friendly animal.

Blasket Islands
These unique islands which were inhibited for thousands of years were abandoned in 1953 when the inhabitants were moved to the mainland. Life has stood still on the Blasket Islands since, with no cars, no televisions and no electricity just the sound of the sea and its beautiful peaceful atmosphere.

This is the home of Daniel O'Connell, which now displays many of his relics of his life. The house was opened as a museum in 1967 and is very popular among tourist. Furnished with writings family portraits and items relating to his political life. It will appeal especially to the history lover.
